DNF Duel Wiki

The MP Gauge is one of the three Gauges for DNF Duel. It is directly related to the character's MP Skills and other mechanics.

Overview[]

The MP Gauge is located right under the character's Health Gauge. Identical to the Health Gauge, the design is split into two portions, with them designating with the character's current HP Gauge.

Details[]

For MP related moves, they consume a certain number of the MP Gauge, which can vary depending on the move itself. The MP Gauge can be recovered in 3 ways: by letting time passed by without using moves that consume it, landing attacks that doesn't consume the MP Gauge, or using Conversion.

Whenever a round starts, everyone will universally start out with the MP Gauge being filled and capped at 100. But, the more damage a character receives, the bigger the max gauge will increase, and will eventually reach the maximum thereshold at 200 upon having 30% HP left the first time.

If the player has the MP Gauge reach at 0, they will enter an "Exhaustation" state that will render them unable to recover MP for a brief period of time, making it not possible to use MP Moves until the Gauge recovers about 0.

Whenever a MP Skill is used, there is a brief window before the MP Gauge recovers naturally. This can vary whether the player uses the simple or traditional input for the move, with the window being shorter with traditional inputs.

Some characters's Awakening status ties into the MP Gauge as well. This includes Inqusitior being able to recover MP immediatedly after using a MP Move (so as long as it doesn't result in her going into Exhaustation), Dragon Knight recovering MP twice as fast, etc.

MP Regeneration Rate Values[]

While the MP Gauge itself is universally the same across the cast, the regeneration rate after using MP-moves can vary by the character, although some values are shared with others. The rate is measured by how much per second.
