Ranked Match are one of the different Online Modes for DNF Duel. It allows players to connect and match up against others players of identical skill levels.

Overview

Like other fighting games, DNF Duel allows players to play rank matches against other players online to be able to play against each other. Before beginning ranked matches, players have the option to start out with either Bronze, Silver, or Gold rank to match with their skill level to begin playing. Players also have the option to display their ranked match history (total amount of matches, how many wins, win rate) either public or privately, although win-streaks are always displayed publicly.

After setting up their profile, players are then able to select the character, stage, and BGM that they want to play and then proceed to queue themselves. While waiting for a match, players can either wait in the lobby or play Training, Tutorial, Arcade, or Survival while waiting. It is important to note that Battle Settings are different between Player and Ranked Matches, so it is vital to adjust before proceeding to play either, lest it would wind up in playing with the wrong settings.

Upon two people connecting with each other, both players have 30 seconds to confirm the match before proceeding to play. Ranked matches between the players are best out of 3, with the set ending upon either player's victory. It is possible however to leave the match after a match has been completed, but it is not possible to change the character while playing the set with another.
