The Swift Master is one of the male playable characters in the base game of DNF Duel. He is based on the Swift Master sub-class of the Male Mage in Dungeon Fighter Online.

Story

A chosen Mage that wields the power of the winds in battle.

In Pandemonium stands Stormy Heights, a place where arctic winds blow all year long. The Swift Masters believe that the direction in which wind blows holds special powers, thus deciding the fate of a newborn depending on whatever winds it was born in. However, it is said that those who are born when no winds blow are destined to become Wind Gods.

The sight of them bending wind to their will to strike fast as lightning and as punishing as a storm is said to instill awe in witnesses.

Character Overview

A Mage who fights with the power of the wind. He is a master at precisely timing skills that interrupt opponents' movements. His rapid movements paired with stationary traps allow for crafty combat. When Awakened, his speed is amplified, allowing for even more piercing attacks.

  • Has fast movements and high mobility.
  • All MP Skills can be used while airborne.
  • Has moves that support his movement while encumbering that of his foe's.

The following is a list of changes that Swidt Master has received over the course of the game.

V1.09

  • HP Gauge increases to 900 from 850.
  • Guard Gauge increases to 1150 from 1000.
  • During Awakening Effect, various MP skills can now be canceled with Wind Orb, even on whiff. An MP recovery speed effect has also been added.
  • Jumping B gained increased hitstun and blockstun.
  • Sweeping Wind's first hit can now be jump-canceled.
  • The air version of Wind Blaster has an increased hitbox.
  • Relentless Biting Wind's recovery has been reduced when performed in the air.
  • Wind Orb's MP cost and air recovery has been reduced. Additionally, the move's startup can now be canceled with Storm Quaker.
  • Wind Twist's air recovery has been reduced. The start-up of the move can also now be canceled with Vortex Hurricane.

V1.06

  • MP regeneration rate has been decreasde.
  • Wind Twist, Wind Orb, and Storm Quaker's time needed to start MP regeneration has increased.
  • The guaranteed minimum damage for Storm Strike, Vortex Hurricane, and Storm Quaker has been reduced.
  • Wind Blaster, Storm Quaker, and Sonic Move's guard gauge damage has been reduced.
  • Wind Blaster's damage and guard stun time has been reduced.
  • Wind Twist's duration time is reduced and stun time has increased. The move also now disappears when Guard Break is inflicted upon Swift Master.
  • Sonic Move's white damage against guarding opponents has been reduced. The guard stun also decreases when inputted from down-right.
